abraham Skillinge Museum

Towards the end 19th century, Skillinge became the largest port for registered commercial sailing vessels in Sweden. During the period 1848-1948, there were 314 commercial sailing vessels registered in Skillinge.  Captains from Skillinge sailed all over the world. In this little but rich and charming museum of seafarers, there is a lot  to see and much to learn.  MORE

Traubgården is a gourmet restaurant near Skillinge and a gastronomy temple of chef celebrity Walter Traub. Walter was a chef at some of Stockholm's best restaurants. He received a Michelin star as head chef at both L'Escargot and Leijontornet. In 1990, Walter got awarded with Gold Medal of the Gastronomic Academy for outstanding achievements in the Swedish food culture. MORE
