In Hammenhög we found a little but very charming garden, dedicated to southern European type of green.
Lilac, jasmine and lupine grows side by side with olive, fig, peach, and cherry trees. Sage, rosemary, thyme, mint and lavender connects the garden to a harmony of colors and scents.
It is a little Mediterranean corner of Österlen, driven by Diane Karakitsos and her husband. This garden is a proof that most of the southern green can be cultivated in Österlen climate.
Garden makes a part of the shop "En liten bit av Medelhavet" ( A little peace of Mediterranean) and it is all inspired of Greekland. The shop also has a wide selection of furnishings from the Mediterranean.
The patterned and colorful ceramics are mainly from Greece and Morocco, and consists mainly of dishes, bowls, urns and pitchers but also glasses, mugs and trays are available.
Here you will find pottery, candles, olive soaps, skin care products of olive interspersed with delicacies from Greece.
During the summer months one can enjoy a souther style meal and coffy in the garden, and the feeling of being somewhere in the Mediterranean area is complete!
